DR. LASH Melbourne is a lash and brow salon on Level 3 of Emporium Melbourne, 287 Lonsdale St, in the CBD. Co-founder Gwen opened it in July 2024 as the brand's first salon outside Singapore. Lash extensions, lifts, brow embroidery and Lash Rejuvenation all happen in private rooms, and you book online.
Why is the salon called DR. LASH?
The name describes an attitude, not a qualification: your natural lashes get a check-up before anything is applied, and their condition matters as much as the finished look. DR. LASH is a beauty salon, not a medical clinic.
Gwen co-founded the brand in 2017. At the time, a typical lash appointment meant lying on a bed a few feet from other clients while a technician worked through a queue. DR. LASH set out to change how that hour feels: a closed door, a proper conversation first, and an artist who studies your own lashes before choosing a single extension.
The Melbourne salon works the same way. Your artist opens with a short lash health check, cleans the lash line with a three-step cleansing spa, separates one natural lash at a time and sets each extension about 0.1 mm away from the root, never on the eyelid itself.
The people looking after you are trained lash artists, brow artists and therapists. Think of the 'DR.' as our shorthand for care and attention to detail.
Why did DR. LASH open in Melbourne?
Melbourne suited a brand built on small details: a city that takes personal style seriously, with a CBD where people fit beauty appointments around work, study and shopping.
The move was announced in July 2024, when retailbiz.com.au ran the story under the headline 'Singapore's Dr Lash unveils first Australian salon' (19 July 2024). A few days later, stylemachine.au published a feature on the new salon (24 July 2024).
Emporium Melbourne sits in the heart of the CBD on Lonsdale Street, with a link through to Melbourne Central, so a lash appointment can slot in before work, at lunch or after a day in the shops.
What are the private rooms like at DR. LASH Melbourne?
Every lash and brow appointment in Melbourne takes place in its own room, so you can close your eyes and switch off while your artist works.
A full set of LashCraft extensions can take up to 2 hours and a lash lift and tint about 1.5 hours. That is a long time to lie still in a busy space. A room to yourself means no audience, quieter conversation and a calmer pace for your artist.
Thursday and Friday run later (10am-9pm), which makes an after-work set realistic for anyone working in the city.

Who is Gwen, the co-founder who brought DR. LASH to Melbourne?
Gwen co-founded DR. LASH in 2017 and opened DR. LASH Melbourne at Emporium in July 2024, the brand's first salon outside Singapore. She brought the private-room format and the lash-first approach with her to Lonsdale Street.

Gwen hosted the grand opening weekend on 27 and 28 July 2024 and welcomed the first Melbourne guests into the salon. Over those two days the team gave away complimentary natural LashCraft sets and NanoGems installations.
