Every day we encounter deadlines and responsibilities and sometimes we may forget self-love and relaxation for our mental health. At DR. When you’ve booked in your “me” time for yourself, here’s a few tips to unwind before your lash appointment and relax during your lash nap.

1. Avoid high energy drinks

Coffee contains CAFFEINE and it is a big no no before your lash appointment. Try to avoid caffeinated or high energy drinks that keeps you wide awake. These should be taken early in the morning if you really need.

2. Sip on some relaxing hot tea before your appointment.

This is a self-love session, where you’re at peace with your mind, body and soul. Drinking chamomile tea at least 45 minutes before your lash appointment to induce sleepiness. That will give your body enough time to metabolize the tea and the chemical compounds will start working around your body, causing sedative feelings to kick in.

3. Turn off your phone.

We know that being away from our mobile phones is not easy but we highly recommend you to take this time to unplug from the world and destress. Simply lay back and relax while our eyelash extension therapist do the work. Most of our customers use this time to catch up on podcasts or even listen to their favorite tunes on Spotify or Apple Music.

4. Get comfortable under the sheets.

Feeling comfortable is essential, you wouldn’t want to feel cold during your session and start falling sick. We provide blankets which help you feel warm and comfortable, so don’t be shy to tuck yourself tight in bed!

5. Chit Chat with your therapist…. Or maybe not!

Our eyelash extension therapists are here to consult you on the best lash style for your eye shape, so if you feel comfortable, feel free to have a chit chat session with them! A few laughs or simply engaging with our therapists would not only help you unwind but they’ll be able to build a connection with you. But of course, if you would like to chill in silence to allow you to unwind, you may do so too! This is your time, your “me” time.
